Current Research

  • I am interested broadly in how environmental change affects mental health and community health, and how communities and states interpret various risks and respond with adaptative measures and policies, particularly in the Global South.
  • My current research includes two projects: a qualitative analysis of Maharashtrian Koli fishers' socio-psychological challenges and cultural adaptation in the context of unprecedented cyclonic activity, and a document analysis addressing multilevel governance of environmental change in India, at the central and state levels.
