Donations & Giving
Emory Sociology has several awards that could be of interest to potential donors. Any gifts provided for these awards would benefit exceptional students.
The Solomon and Sara Sutker Outstanding Student Award
This award is given annually to the outstanding senior for distinguished undergraduate scholarship in sociology. It is made possible by a generous gift from the Sutkers.
The Maureen Blyer Graduate Research Award
This annual award is given in honor of the best research paper by an Emory Sociology graduate student. It is offered in honor of our dear friend and colleague, Maureen Blyer, who sadly passed away in 2002 while pursuing her PhD at Emory Sociology. This award is made possible by the generous donations of Maureen's family and friends.
The Martin L. Levin Scholarship for Summer ICPSR Training
This competitive award, which is now offered annually, provides support for an Emory Sociology graduate student to pursue quantitative training. It is made possible by the generous donation of our good friend and colleague, Dr. Martin L. Levin.
Donations
In addition to these awards, Emory Sociology also encourages donations that support students facing financial difficulties while seeking their degrees.
As is well known, the cost of education weighs more heavily on some than others. We in Emory Sociology are committed to helping these students while offering excellent instruction for all.
