General Research Areas
Broadly speaking, my research interests lie at the intersection between health and crime. My current work focus on the means by which health behaviors, objective health outcomes, and self-reported health measures affect juvenile delinquency and drug use. I am also interested in the effects that contact with the criminal justice system has on health outcomes and how this contributes to larger ethnoracial health disparities. In addition to criminological and health-related quantiative work, I have also conducted quantative research on the use of music as a technology of mental health improvement.
