ISJR 2018 Registration
Registration fees for the conference include:
- attendance at the conference;
- welcome reception on Wednesday, July 25;
- refreshments (morning, afternoon) for all days of the conference;
- lunch on Thursday and Friday (July 26 and 27).
Optional conference activities, including the gala dinner on Friday, July 27 at the Carter Center and Museum, are noted below as well, with associated fees (if any). Transportation included in optional activities.

Graduate Student Workshop | Wednesday, July 25, 10 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.
Join Drs. Clara Sabbagh and Manfred Schmitt to hone works in progress and discuss justice focused research strategies more generally. Interested students please see application instructions. (lunch; no fee, students applying should register)
Ponce City Market | Thursday, July 26, 7-10 p.m.
Escape the university area for a no-host evening at the recently renovated landmark building in the historic Old Fourth Ward of Atlanta offering space for gathering, shopping, and eating (www.poncecitymarket.com). Enjoy a view of the city skyline from the rooftop or nearby beltline. Possibly take in a round of miniature golf. The Central Food Hall includes a variety of offerings from artisan chefs. (no fee, registration only)
Gala Dinner at Carter Center and Museum | Friday, July 27, 6-9 p.m.
Stroll the museum documenting the activities of the 39th President of the United States while in office and since 1980. The Center is known for its global humanitarian efforts (www.cartercenter.org). Dinner menu inspired by Southern culinary traditions. ($110)
King Center for Non-Violence and National Center for Civil and Human Rights | Saturday, July 28, 2-6 p.m.
Visit two of Atlanta’s most noteworthy attractions (www.nps.gov/malu and www.civilandhumanrights.org) that document the city’s role in the Civil Rights Movement. Transportation and admission fees included. ($45)
